Disillusioned (2021)
This piece "Disillusioned" shows the relationships between people from different cultures and backgrounds. To express how complex people are in terms of their emotional and physical variety, I used multiple facial expressions on a distorted background in a low chroma blue and green palette. I attempted to depict that although there may be disagreements between people, we should always do our best to get along and live together as “social animals”. I placed the figures chaotically overlapping one another but tied them all together with a similar color palette, in order to show the rather harmonious aspect of the people assembled together.Acrylic on canvas
