Wet Behind the Ears


Katie Jung (b.2004) is an aspiring Korean multimedia artist. She is currently based in both Seoul and Los Angeles. As an artist, she strives to become one who can unveil what seems obvious about the world and create a sense of direction through empirical means. She not only expresses art on a canvas but through various mediums ranging from graphic design to film. By incorporating different fields of study and art, she is exploring the art-world through her own uniqueness.

Throughout her artistic endeavors, the English idiom “wet behind the ears” has guided her creative process. Jung attempts to portray the young years of her life through a series of her pieces reflecting her relationship with her family, peers, and herself. Through her years of growth, Jung represents herself as this idiom’s meaning: one’s immaturity.
